LifeSmarts

REGISTER TODAY!  Online competition closes February 19, 2014!

The Kentucky Council on Economic Education is coordinating the LifeSmarts in Kentucky.  LifeSmarts teaches high school and middle school students about personal finance, consumer rights and responsibilities, technology, health and safety, and the environment.  The program complements any curriculum and can be used as an activity for classes, groups, clubs, and community organizations.

How Does it Work?

Any group of 4 or more students, working with an adult coach, may participate.  There is no cost for a team to participate.  Coaches register teams and students will compete online. Top teams in the online competition are invited to participate at the Kentucky LifeSmarts in-person competition at Bellarmine University on March 12.  The state high school champion team will compete at the national LifeSmarts competition in April in Orlando.

It is easy to find materials to prepare for the competition.  The LifeSmarts website, www.lifesmarts.org, contains many resources and links.  We hope that you’ll check out the resources you find here, test your knowledge with practice quizzes, use TeamSmarts and LifeSmarts U, and compete online
