Webolos Trip
We went camping at Koch Camp-o-ree
area of Camp Crooked Creek on the weekend of the 12th and 13th
of November. Before we left on Saturday morning, everyone went out scouting for
food as we do each year. After we finished giving out our fliers we left for
camp. Each patrol was in charge of a skill to teach the Webelos. My patrol taught
fire building. We played football in the field and hung out for the day. Later
that night we played manhunt in the field.
David and Jon made a very interesting Dakota hole that got
a hot fire going. The Dakota hole was a hole that had a fire in it and a tunnel
that let to another hole. The fire would suck air throw the tunnel to power the
fire.
We saw a moon bow after the night hike which was cool. That
night it rained and everything seemed to be soaked the next morning, but it
warmed up. I think we showed the Webolos what Troop 40 is about, and I hope
they join our troop.
