Carter Caves Trip July 10th -12th , 2009

Friday: On Friday, we arrived at our campsite at night set up camp and our tents and went to bed.
Saturday: On Saturday, we woke up and
had breakfast. Then the troop split up into two different groups, one went
canoeing and the others went to the x cave. The canoeing group went up the
river with a guide. Jack Allen said that he saw fish, turtles, and a blue heron
when he was canoeing. The other group went to the x cave, which makes the shape
of an x out of the passageways inside. We went through the cave with a guide
that told us about the different formations. He forgot to turn on a switch so
we were in the dark for a little while. Then on the way back we played
miniature golf that was at our site and Mr. Burton was declared the putt-putt
champion. After lunch, everyone went to
Sunday: On Sunday, we woke up and had breakfast. We began to pack up while some of the younger scouts went on a nature hike to an archway of rocks. When they returned, we finished packing. We then shot potatoes out of a big slingshot that Mr. Sexton had brought with him. Then, we got on the bus and came home.
