Students compete in two divisions - David Ricardo for students in regular economics courses or economics in social studies or business courses, and Adam Smith for students in AP or IB economics courses.

About the ONLINE Kentucky Econ Challenge:
The Kentucky Econ Challenge is an opportunity for high school students to demonstrate their economics knowledge in a fun, competitive environment!Teams of three to four students compete in one of the two divisions on topics from microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and current events . Team members take an online quiz independently and their top three team scores are combined by the online system.
We will be holding the Kentucky competition online during the week of March 27 - April 2, 2012. During that week students will enter the Econ Challenge portal and take a 30 question online test that covers micro, macro and international economics.AWARDS: The 1st place Adam Smith team and the 1st place David Ricardo teams (3-4 person teams) at this level will receive a $100 series EE Savings Bond for each member of the team. Also the highest scoring Adam Smith and David Ricardo team at the state level competition will be invited to compete in the Regional Econ Challenge ONLINE. All state champions will be competing against each other, taking the same test at the same time.Regional winners will be invited to the National Econ Challenge in NYC! All expenses paid!
