1.
Take I-65 North across the River to I-265
2.
I-265 East until it intersects with SR-62
3.
SR-62 East to Madison, Indiana
4.
You have two options at this point. The easiest directions
to follow and not get lost are to stay on SR-62 all the way into Friendship and
pick up the specific details below once you are in town, starting with #8.
However, this is a very slow and windy road to Friendship. The other option is
to take US-421 north and pick up a county road that heads due east and cuts out
most of the curves.
5.
Turn North (left) on US-421. You will go past Jefferson
Proving Ground on the left. According to my GPS map it is 12.7 miles.
6.
You will go just past Rexville and turn right on County
Road 800S. There is a very small sign at the turn for Friendship, but it is
easy to miss.
7.
In just under 7 miles, County Road 800S merges back up with
SR-62 and SR-129. Go straight through the intersection which will put you back
on SR-62, Friendship is about 5 miles ahead.
8.
Once you make it to Friendship, stay on SR-62 through
beautiful downtown Friendship. About ¼ mile out of town you will see a concrete
bridge on the right going across the creek into the primitive campground – go
just past that bridge and turn left into the main range area.
9.
Follow the road in and then turn left to go down to the area
of the youth range, this is where the Scouts are supposed to be camping. Look
for the St. Paul bus, that should help lead you to us.
If you get lost, John’s cell phone number is 502-641-6243
and Tom’s cell phone number is 502-541-6319.
