Emil Ochsner immigrated to the United States in 1899 from Einsiedeln, Switzerland. He came to Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY and worked as a dairy farmer. He was the oldest of 16 children. Emma, Benno, Karl and Meinrad Benedikt Ochsner came to Louisville, KY. Benedikta, Anna, and Juliana Ochsner went to the Los Angeles, CA area. The others remained in Einsiedeln, Switzerland. Emil Ochsner married Anna Marie Eberle in 1907 in Louisville, KY. From this marriage came my mother, Mary Josephine Ochsner Walker born in1917 the fifth child of nine children. Anna Marie immigrated to the United States in1902 from Einsiedeln, Switzerland to Louisville. Her occupation was an ironer. Emil Ochsner and Anna Marie Eberle Ochsner settled in St. Matthews, KY in1907 and then moved to Middletown, KY in 1929. This family has been well documented in the United States and Einsiedeln, Switzerland with my grandfather’s line back to 1595.
