Fig. 1 shows a static start position. From here Nage will step back towards Uke. Normally Uke is not just holding Nage. Uke is pulling Nage back and down for a throw. Nage moves back with Uke's pull.
Fig. 2 shows the end of the 1st Step. Nage's right foot has stepped back and around in a clockwise direction across the front of Uke. At the same time Nage's hands have grasped Uke's right wrist in the Waki Gatame grip.
In Fig. 3 Nage has continued the Tornado Twist in a clockwise direction.
Fig. 4 shows the position at the end of the 2nd Irimi step with Nage's left foot.
Fig. 5 shows a static start. In this Example Nage steps forwards. This means that in this case Uke would normally push Nage forwards when grabbing. When Nage is grabbed Nage's left foot will take a large forward circular step in the clockwise direction.
Fig. 6 shows the position at the end of the 1st Tenkan Step. Nage has taken the Waki Gatame grip while making this 1st step.
Fig. 7 shows the end of the 2nd Tenkan step with Nage's right foot. Nage has continued the clockwise Tornado Twist.
