Lapel Grab Tenchinage

Techniques do not change from having one lapel grabbed to having two lapels grabbed. In this example both lapels are grabbed.

- Fig. 1 shows the start with both lapels grabbed. From this position a head butt or kick from Uke is extremely easy. Nage should only let this grab happen in training and then be in motion.
- In Fig. 2 Nage takes the 1st entry step and delivers the Kuta Entry Step. In the example both of Uke's arms are nearly straight. Nage cannot bend Uke's arms so Nage must step to the side and Nage's strike may not reach Uke. That is ok because the strike will keep Uke back even if it falls short.
- Fig. 3 shows the 2nd Irimi step. Because of Uke's straight arms nage's arm does not go around Uke's neck as in the basic Tenchinage. The striking arm still leads Uke's head down as Nage's lowering body leads Uke's hands down.

- Fig. 4 shows the end of the Tornado Twist with Uke on the ground. From here Nage turns Uke over onto Uke's belly for the pin.
