 Life Fundamental$ Innovative Teaching Grants support teachers in designing innovative and engaging economic, entrepreneurship and/or personal finance education projects/programs with high quality classroom resources.

Grant Awards
The amount of each individual teacher award will not exceed $150.  A team or group of teachers from the same school may request up to $300.  Each individual or team may submit only one proposal.  Only one individual or one team grant will be award per school.  Funds may be requested solely for the purchase of curricula from the Kentucky Council on
Economic Education catalog.  The online catalog can be accessed @ www.kcee.org/catalog/ .

Teacher/School Eligibility

Any K-12 teacher in a public or private (not-for-profit) school is eligible. Grants will be awarded to the teacher’s (or group of teachers’) school and will be restricted for use by the teacher/teachers in their respective classroom. 

Proposal Specifications:

  • Clearly describe the project/unit including goals and objectives for a minimum of four (4) lessons with activities that teach basic principles and concepts of economics, entrepreneurship and/or personal finance education.
  • Create classroom experiences that are innovative, unique, and engaging for students.
  • Provide a clear and concise description of how the objectives of the project/unit will be measured.
  • Provide a clear explanation of why teaching economics, entrepreneurship and/or personal finance education is important.
